Shall We Venture? Announcing the Theme for June

I think the universe might be messing with me.

After pronouncing April Power Month, I spent four weeks feeling entirely powerless.

May was crowned Food Month, because what’s better than food? Then, my doctor put me on an elimination diet. All of the foodie things I’d planned to share, I could no longer eat.

I obsessed over this month’s theme. I made lists. I read those lists aloud (several times) to my husband. I hemmed, hawed, and extensively top-tapped. Life, lately, is volatile. I needed a theme that couldn’t be derailed.

Finally, finally, after the brainstorming, the lists, the husband torture, it arrived.

IT’S EXPLORER MONTH.

Throughout June, I’ll conduct fashion experiments with exploration as my inspiration. In some posts, I’ll take inspiration from actual trailblazers. In others, I’ll play explorer, testing out new-to-me styles, trends, or fashion identities.

Much like Women’s Month, I’ll return to a three posts-per-week schedule:

On Sundays and Wednesdays, expect traditional Costume Parade experiments.
Friday posts will be more supplemental (and experimental!). They won’t detail my style exploration, but rather share tips, history, or information relevant to this month’s theme.
