Stitch Fix Review - April
It's Stitch Fix time, again!!
After a stream of successful fixes, my last fix was a bit lackluster. I attributed this to the long, convoluted list of items I requested. This month, I chilled out. I asked my stylist to send items appropriate for blogger events that would represent the aesthetic of my blog.
She really delivered! Plus, she summed up my aesthetic far better than I have. She called it my, "structured, quirky, yet feminine vibe." Oooh la la!! I'll take it!
(Confused? Here's the run down on Stitch Fix:

Let's do this!
ITEM: Supply & Demand Maney Button Down Tie Waist Top, Size S
THOUGHTS: HOW GREAT IS THIS TOP!?!?! I was really excited about it, especially given my recent blog post about classic white button downs. This top felt like the structured, quirky, yet feminine version of a white button-down and I was all about it. And look at that racerback!! There was no part of this shirt that I didn't love, but I sent it back. It was too big on top, and no padded bra could fill it. I checked for an exchange for three days before I finally checked out, and each day my size was out of stock.
I'm still mourning. Hopefully, it will reappear by the time Kristin selects my next fix, and I can have it back!
VERDICT: Return.
ITEM: Cupcakes and Cashmere Fiorella Off the Shoulder Dress, Size S
THOUGHTS: I love most parts of this dress. I love the color, and the pattern, and the fun off-the-shoulder cut. The material was of good quality. I liked that it had a bit of a ruffle but wasn't covered in ruffles.
I didn't, however, like this dress on me. The mustard color made my skin look a bit off, and from the side the cut of the dress made me look pregnant. I'd rather not start rumors that we're having a shotgun wedding... Back it goes!
VERDICT: Return.
ITEM: Liverpool Renee Printed Straight Leg Pant, Size 4
THOUGHTS: Detective pants!! I feel like sassy Sherlock Holmes (Shirley Holmes?) in these! This pair was a bit too big in the mid-section, but I loved the cut, and the black and white plaid. Most impressive, however, was the material. The pants are lightweight but sturdy. I tried them on a few times and each time they kept their shape. I exchanged these for a size smaller. I'm already planning some detective-appropriate outfits with them for later. :)
VERDICT: Exchanged!
*Special note: I did receive my exchange for these pants, and have since worn them on the blog! Check out this post to see them in action!
ITEM: Franco Sarto Shelby Patent Leather Loafer Flat, Size 8
THOUGHTS: These loafers were the one item in my fix that I wasn't excited about. They were a bit too big, so my heels slid around in them. The color was strange next to my skin tone, and I didn't find them very flattering or comfortable. And that pointy toe just seemed to extend forever! It was difficult not to trip over it when I walked.
VERDICT: Return.
ITEM: Current Air Sophia Workwear Vest
THOUGHTS: I've saved the magic for last. After writing the note for this fix, I regretted not asking for a long, lightweight, vest. I was really quite sad about it.
But LO AND BEHOLD, look what arrived in my fix: a long, lightweight, vest! And not only that, it's in this soft lilac shade that I told Kristin I wanted to test out for spring!! Magic! Or mind-reading, one of the two. I doubt I need to tell you, I kept this!!
VERDICT: Kept!
So, there it is, Fix #24! I've had plenty of ups and downs with Stitch Fix, but having a stylist who understands my style has been really fun. I can't wait to see what Kristin sends next month!!
